An editor using EpicEditor would be veeeery nice indeed (/cc @bewildergeist) - how can we help? Would it be possible to swap it into your existing MarkdownEditor? |

@greystate - by all means, happy for improvements/replacements on the MarkdownEditor package. Sorry for the delay in replying, I don't seem to get notifications of gist comments. #hmmm |

Epic Edition Wow
Great list! Another idea is a 'convert theme to Umbraco'-package. To rebuild existing themes from other cms'es for Umbraco usage. Now with standard MVC razor layouts support it should not be so difficult to use the Orchard Themes... (Btw, my 'FuncHost' was not so much about admin console as a general purpose client side<->server side bridge. However I left the idea as not so practical in reality.) |

Thanks @joeriks - +1 on the Theme conversions, would be a winner for bringing users to Umbraco. With the 'FuncHost' comparison, was meaning that a web console (client-side) would need that bridge to send server-side commands. E.g. define commands in C# (.NET), then call them from the client-side (JS), via the jquery console. (The idea is still baking) :-) |

This gist was starting to feel messy. I've started a dedicated repo for it: https://github.com/leekelleher/umbraco-package-ideas This may help improve and encourage more discussion around specific package ideas. |
